In December 2015 there were only four British Columbia Wine Institute BCVQA wine stores located in grocery stores: Wines of British Columbia Save-On-Foods Fleetwood; Langley; South Point & Tsawwassen – each of which have over 900 different, and distinct, BCVQA 100% BC wine on their shelves. The Kelowna Wine Museum VQA store closed on December 31st.
The BCWI has approved Overwaitea to operate two of our BCVQA wine store licenses, previously with Discover Wines and the Wine Museum in Kelowna. The Save-on-Food stores are scheduled to be open by March 1st with final locations to be announced pending government approval.
Discover Wines last day of sale in both Kelowna and Kamloops stores is Saturday January 23. The Overwaitea Food Group will decide where the licenses are moved to in the province.
