Saxon Winery of Summerland announced their partnership with Bottega Wine Studio, also known as Seven Directions Wines. Bottega Wine Studio had recently made their wines in West Kelowna.
Bottega Wine Studio will commence producing their award-winning wine brand Seven Directions Wine and Bottega wines at Saxon Winery this coming vintage. Launching them under Saxon’s license from 2019.
Daniel Bontorin, the renowned winemaker for Volcanic Hills and Bordertown wineries and co-owner and winemaker for Bottega Wine Studio with Kristine Witkowski, says “this exciting partnership offers us the flexibility and growth potential to leverage our brands and to significantly increase production as well as providing us with a tasting room facility for our wines“.
Paul and Jayne Graydon, co-owners of Saxon Winery explained that by adding the Bottega and Seven Directions brands to the portfolio of its own wines made under the distinguished stewardship of winemaker Tom DiBello, Saxon can nearly double revenues from 2019 onwards and at the same time to build out the production facility to accommodate an increase in production to approximately 4000 cases per year.
