Monte Creek Winery announces record wine wins in 2020
Kamloops, BC, November 6, 2020 – There has been much to celebrate in 2020 at Monte Creek Winery despite the difficult challenges that COVID-19 has presented. The winery announces a record number of high profile wine accolades this wine award season.
Monte Creek Winery was the proud recipient of 2020 All Canadian Wine Champions Founder’s Award for Best Overall Performance with nine medals including Best White Wine of the Year for their 2018 Riesling Reserve. This is an outstanding recognition for the Thompson Valley as there were 805 wines entered by 130 wineries across the nation.
The team also brought home several awards internationally. Monte Creek Winery received a 95-Point Gold Medal for their 2018 Riesling Reserve at the 2020 Decanter World Wine Awards – Discover the World’s Best Wines. They also earned a Silver for their 2017 Chardonnay at the 2020 Chardonnay Du Monde competition – International Competition between the Best Chardonnay in the World.
