Nothing says “Summer on the patio” like an ice-cold BC White Wine blend.
“white blend” refers to any white wine that contains more than one white grape varietal in the final product.
There is a great diversity of taste profiles made by blending different white grapes and the price is less expensive than many single white varietals.
Several white varietals are used in BC blends, but Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Gewürztraminer are the most frequently used.
Here are 10 wines under $25 you can enjoy all the time.
K Little Vintners™ – My White 2018 ($22)
The white (mostly Gewürztraminer and a bit of Pinot Gris) is more Alsatian in style, smooth, and has lots of flavours but is not over the top. Both grapes are from the Naramata Bench. It is four years of age in the bottle now, has gained richness and acidity integration, and is still excellent and full of fruit.
