Wine sales in B.C. topped $1 billion in 2014 for the first time and that spending is expected to increase in 2015. The British Columbia Wine Institute 2015 annual report showed that BC VQA wine sales grew 12% and BC non-VQA wine at almost 6%.
“Over the next five years, Canada’s wine consumption growth rate will be twice that of the rest of the world,” said Vinexpo president Xavier de Eizaguirre.
This is all good news for BC wineries as a large 2015 Harvest will support further growth of quality wines.
