Winemaker’s CUT new releases for 2020

We have been very fortunate to taste Michal Mosny’s outstanding wines over the last five years. First as the winemaker at Lunessence Winery and now at Winemaker’s CUT.

We have a diverse portfolio of eight outstanding BC wines for your tasting enjoyment.

First a quick update from Michal on what’s new at Winemaker’s cut.

Winemaker’s CUT Estate Winery has grown in the past year. We have added new vineyards under our umbrella. Chahal Vineyard owned by long time Oliver grower Swaran Chahal, located just north of Oliver, and Slow Vineyard owned by Jeff Harris, located on the Naramata Bench. I know both of these sustainable vineyards for over eight years now, and the owners, growers are my personal friends.

With new vineyards, our wine portfolio has increased as well. We have composed eight wines and we strongly believe that they will become a long term part of the winery story.

The Winemaker’s CUT Portfolio

CUT Wines

CUT wines are our estate wines and small-batch unique heritage wines. All wines are single varietal up to our Rose´, where we specifically use only the highest elevation rows of our vineyard to produce light crisp flavoured Rose´. All estate wines benefit from our unique soil profile – dark brown chernozem mixed with shale, rich in minerals, which show beautifully in these wines. The CUT wines are Sauvignon Blanc, Rose´and Syrah.

Our heritage wines are wines we used to make back in Slovakia. We are incredibly happy that we can continue to make them in Canada – Gruner Veltliner and Muscat Canelli.

Bohemian Wines

Bohemian Wines exemplify the uniqueness of the Okanagan Valley single-vineyard blends. The wines are made in extremely small volumes. Wines are carefully hand-selected from our finest barrels and only produced when the vintage is appropriate. Wines are blends of predominantly Bordeaux grapes varietals – Bohemian Cuvee Rouge 2018 and Bohemian Cuvee Blanc 2019 (to be released in fall 2020).

BOHO Wines

BOHO Wines are informal wines to make you realize that having wine made naturally can still result in the flavours we love and even amplify them in a clean yet fruity style. The two wines are BOHO Beat (white aromatic blend) and BOHO Zen (Red Blend)
