Baco Noir’s naturally bright acidity works beautifully with tomato-based dishes, while its dark fruit and spice have enough depth for the meatballs. The Ancient Hill Baco Noir is a gorgeous, deeply coloured red, showing ripe black cherry and dark plum, layered with warm baking spice, chocolate, vanilla and a touch of butterscotch. Soft yet powerful on the palate, with a lush texture and a lingering, spicy finish. 91 Points.
