Northern Lights for Delicious Fruit Wines

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Northern Lights Estate Winery opened its doors in 2015The most northern winery in BC, this purpose-built fruit winery chose its location on the banks of the Nechako River in Prince George to take advantage of the beautiful landscapes and fertile land. The winery is the brainchild of local Entrepreneurs Pat and Doug Bell, who built it as part of their family’s business legacy in Prince George.

Some recent Northern Lights highlights from Doug Bell:

Here is information for four of Northern Lights’ wines.

Northern Lights Golden Hour

The soft, golden hues discovered in the day’s last hour of sunlight is mirrored in this silky smooth, easy-sipping white wine. 12% alcohol.

Evoking the crisp charm of a young trocken Riesling, Golden Hour fruit wine enchants with vibrant aromas of ripe peaches, lush Anjou pear, and a whisper of golden honey. This light-to-medium-bodied wine delights the palate with bright flavours of red apple, tangy rhubarb, and juicy peach, accented by delicate floral notes. The well-balanced acidity delivers a refreshing, lively finish, making it an irresistible sipper. A remarkable value at under $15, Golden Hour is a delightful gem for any occasion. 90 points
