🍕🍷 Pizza night with @township7 Interlude Red 2024 🍕🍷 Pizza night with @township7 Interlude Red 2024 — 91 Points.

An easy-drinking blend with vibrant aromas of red berries and spice. Juicy red cherry and ripe strawberry flavours mingle with gentle spice, while soft tannins develop a light grip towards the juicy finish. A relaxed, fruit-forward red that paired nicely with tonight’s pizza.

The blend takes an unusual turn: 42% Pinot Noir / 29% Cabernet Sauvignon / 20% Merlot / 9% Syrah.

Crafted in Naramata from Washington and California grapes following the devastating 2024 Okanagan freeze, then aged for 18 months in French and American oak.

Sometimes, all you need is good pizza and a glass of wine. 🍂

🍂 Four Reds for Autumn 🍷 As the days get shorter a 🍂 Four Reds for Autumn 🍷
As the days get shorter and the Okanagan settles into autumn, it’s time for the kind of wines that belong beside a warm kitchen, a harvest dinner, and something slowly roasting in the oven.

I’ve been tasting the four new Township 7 2024 Interlude reds — Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Interlude Red.
The series was born from the devastating January 2024 freeze, when Township 7 sourced premium fruit from trusted growers in Washington and California, then brought it back to Naramata to make, age and bottle the wines in BC.
🍁 Interlude Cabernet Sauvignon — Full-bodied and dark, with black cherry, cassis and a touch of dark chocolate. Think ribeye or a charred burger on a crisp fall evening.
🍂 Interlude Merlot — Blackberry and black cherry with baking spice and earthy notes. A natural autumn match for mushroom risotto or grilled beef. Tech-sheet-Interlude-Merlot-2024
🔥 Interlude Syrah — Blueberry, blackberry, peppercorn and earthy notes, combining juicy Sonoma fruit with the darker, structured character of Washington Syrah. Bring on the ribs and fall comfort food.
🍒 Interlude Red — The easy-going member of the quartet: Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, with cherry, ripe strawberry, subtle spice and a juicy finish.

Four very different reds, one unusual vintage — and all arriving at exactly the right time for autumn drinking. 🍁🍷

🍇 BC Wine Harvest 2026: An Early but Complicated V 🍇 BC Wine Harvest 2026: An Early but Complicated Vintage
Harvest 2026 is moving fast across BC wine country — but it’s far from a uniform story.
🍇 Record-early picking at several Okanagan vineyards
🍷 Promising fruit from Kelowna to the Similkameen
🍇 Merlot is now coming in, while the late reds are still hanging
🔥 Serious smoke-related losses for some Summerland wineries
💰 Growing concerns about crop insurance and grapes looking for buyers
From Tantalus finishing its earliest estate harvest ever to SpearHead deliberately waiting for more Pinot Noir ripeness, 2026 is shaping up as an early, promising — and remarkably uneven — vintage.

🦃🍷 Five BC wines to pour with Thanksgiving turkey 🦃🍷 Five BC wines to pour with Thanksgiving turkey

Turkey may be delicate, but once you add stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce and roasted vegetables, there’s a lot happening on the plate.

Here are five recently tasted BC wines I’d happily put on the Thanksgiving table:

🥂 Lunessence 2025 ESV Brut Riesling — 92 Points
Bright, lively and a great way to start the celebration.
@lunessencewine

🍾 Lightning Rock 2024 Dry Lake Vineyard Chardonnay — 90 Points
Beautiful texture and balance for turkey, stuffing and gravy.
@lightningrockwinery

🍷 Stoneboat Reserve Pinot Noir 2023 — 91 Points
Red fruit and earthy notes make Pinot Noir a classic partner for the whole Thanksgiving plate.
@stoneboatvineyards

🌸 Seven Directions 2025 Estate Grenache Rosé — 93 Points
At $42, this is the special-treat bottle — a serious Similkameen rosé for a special dinner.
@bottegawinestudio

🍋 Monte Creek 2024 Living Land Riesling Organic — 90 Points
Fresh, aromatic and $23.99 — an excellent choice when you need a few bottles around the table.
@montecreekwinery

And there’s no reason to choose only one. 🥂

Start with bubbles, pour white or rosé with the turkey, and have Pinot Noir ready for the red-wine crowd.
