The first time I saw the Savard Vines logo, it brought back fond memories of my early days in Sudbury Ontario, watching the dashing Montréal Canadiens defenseman – Serge Savard, as he won eight Stanley Cups. The Vineyard

Vintage 2017
Lori provided the following comments. “The 2017 growing season certainly had its challenges. Being by the lake, our Vineyard was protected from the cool spring temperatures. Although our location was not directly affected by floods, it did seem to keep the visitors away. The growing season saw plenty of heat but we experienced many smoky, hazy days that continued for several weeks. Our grapes did not see any signs of smoke taint however our sugar levels at harvest seemed lower than expected. Nonetheless, the vintage is now tasting great from the barrel and glass. The 2017 vintage saw us produce our first rosé which we are really excited about.“
The Wines
Savard Vines Purple Petal Rosé 2017
13.5 % Alcohol. The dry Pinot Noir Rosé exhibits a gorgeous pink salmon hue and an aroma bursting with ripe peach, strawberry, raspberry and apple blossoms. The peachy palate has a fresh juicy texture with earthy undertones leading to the long mouth-watering creamy finish.
A beautiful wine just begging for a hot summer day to quench the wine enthusiast’s thirst.
Savard Vines 5 Turns 2015
“5 Turns” describes the 5 switchback turns down to the winery. Like the road, 5 Turns is an exciting wine!
5 Turns is a delicious red blend made from 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Gamay varietals. The wine has a gorgeous red colour. The nose is highly aromatic and bursts with fruit. On the palate, there are flavours of sour cherry and strawberry with a hint of spice. This is an extremely smooth wine with well-balanced tannins and acid.
The Pinot Noir contributes elements of elegance and silk with the Gamay adding deep colour and structure and a hint of pepper.
The wine is light and refreshing yet highly versatile. It is a great entertaining wine as it stands alone well or pairs favourably with many food dishes including beef, hearty stews, salmon chicken, duck or hard cheeses. The wine was a Gold Medal winner at the 2017 All Canadian Wine Championships.

Future Plans
For the future, we are working toward becoming organic and practising sustainable farming. We strive to produce the best grapes possible as this translates into the best wines.

What a gorgeous spot! And the wines sound very intriguing, also.
Fantastic view of Lake Okanagan. The winery is only 45 minutes south of where we live. Can’t wait to try their new releases.
