2018 saw Lang Vineyards increase their production to 5500-6000 cases and for 2019 they expect to increase again to 6500-7000 cases. Their 2017 vintage was another in a long line of winners.
Winemaker Robert Thielicke had commented previously “the aromatic Whites and Rosés will be the stars of the 2017 vintage”.

The New Releases
Lang Vineyards Bravo White 2017
Alcohol 11.9%, pH 3.20, TA 7.12 g/L and RS 10.21 g/L
This is a blend of Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Schönburger and Muscat just in time for a hot summer day on the patio. It begins with floral and fruity aromas and delivers a mouthful of tropical flavours – lime, lychee, peach, pink grapefruit and honeydew melon with a hint of spice on the finish.
Lang Vineyards Pinot Gris 2017
Alcohol 12.6%, pH 3.63, TA 5.77 g/L and RS 1.22 g/L
The nose expresses floral notes like jasmine and peach while the palate fills your mouth with flavours of ripe peach and apricot layered with spicy, earthy undertones. A wonderful nose, well balanced and a beautiful finish.
Lang Vineyards Viognier 2017
Alcohol 12.3%, pH 3.26, TA 7.2 g/L and RS 3.93 g/L
A luxurious wine, very pale lemon in colour, several shades lighter than the Rieslings. An intense floral aroma of violets, pineapple and peach. On the palate citrus peel, white peach, nectarine, stone fruit, honey and a smooth long finish. Well balanced with good acidity and a refreshingly light touch of bitterness.
Lang Vineyards Farm Reserve Riesling 2017
Alcohol 11.5%, pH 3.12, TA 8.325 g/L and RS 15.83 g/L
This is a classic Alsace style Riesling. Pale lemon in colour, citrus aromas with a hint of green apple. Tangy flavours of lemon, lime, honey and green apple and a lasting and long mineral finish. Great value at $20.
Lang Vineyards Select Harvest Riesling 2017
11.2% Alcohol. A beautifully creamy late harvest riesling made from vines that are over 60 years old. Aromas of lemon, lime, honeysuckle and beeswax. A rich off-dry mouthfeel with flavours of Granny Smith apple, honey, mango and minerality that delivers a lasting finish. Perfect with Apple Pie.

Lang Vineyards Maréchal Foch 2016
Alcohol 14.8%, pH 4.02, TA 6.67 g/L and RS 11.33 g/L
A dazzling ruby red from 60-year-old vines. The Chocolate jumps right out of the glass! Other aromas include cinnamon, plum jam and ripe blueberries. A very smooth and well-balanced wine. Pairs very well with BBQ lamb chops.
