Noble Ridge releases a Sparkling Wines Trio

We were really looking forward to tasting these three premium sparkling wines from Noble Ridge, including our first tasting of the sparkling Rose´- “The Pink One”.

Noble Ridge The Fizzy One NV ($23.99)

The wine is 62% Kerner and 38% Pinot Grigio grapes. The Kerner is from the Tappen Shushwap Valley and the Pinot Gris is from Oliver.

Whole-Cluster gentle pressed. Skin Contact on the Pinot Gris. Cool fermented. Fizzante Style.

13.2% Alcohol / pH 3.35 / TA 6.6 g/L / RS 11 g/L.

An intense floral aroma of pink grapefruit, orange blossom and ripe stonefruit. Flavours of pear, kiwifruit and rhubarb. Some residual sugar but the acidity and sweetness are in balance with a crisp refreshing finish. 90 Points

Noble Ridge The Pink One 2018 ($39.99)

The 100% Pinot Noir grapes for this wine are from the Okanagan Falls estate vineyard.

The wine has 4 Hours of skin contact. The free-run juice was cool fermented. The sparkling wine was made “Méthode Traditionnelle” with En Tirage for 29 months.

12.1% Alcohol / pH 3.17 / TA 7.5 g/L / RS 1.4 g/L.

A gorgeous vivid salmon hue.  Aromas of fresh strawberry and rose petals with a hint of almond.  Flavours of cherry, raspberry and baked pear with a hint of earthy bread and a long soft finish.  93 Points.

Noble Ridge ‘The One’ 2017 ($39.99)

The first Noble Ridge “The One” vintage was in 2009.   Champagne has always been part of our lives. Whether celebrating the holidays, a birthday, anniversary or just the end of a long week, Champagne seemed to enhance any occasion.

Okanagan Falls sub-GI designation. 77% Chardonnay / 23% Pinot Noir. The vintage has a higher percentage of Chardonnay – Clones 76 and 95 than the previous vintage. The Pinot Noir Clones are 114, 115 and 777.

Whole-cluster pressed and cool fermented with Méthode traditionnelle and en tirage extended to 47 months.

12.1% Alcohol, pH 3.17, TA 7.5 g/L, RS 2.1 g/L.

This is a Brut Nature champagne-style wine with < 3 gm/L residual sugar.  A clear pale straw/lemon colour with a Brioche aroma and subtle flavours of green apple, Meyer lemon, and toasty notes. A generous texture on the palate with very good length and bubbles that go on forever! The Noble Ridge sparkling wines are very consistent year to year and “2017 The One” is no exception. 94 Points

This traditional sparkling wine is excellent value and was fantastic with seafood.
