Oliver Winery Partners with Cocktails & Canapes Catering
[OLIVER BC – June 14, 2023] Nostalgia Wines is excited to partner with Cocktails & Canapes Catering to bring together a series of spectacular food and wine experiences hosted at Nostalgia Wines as the sun sets. Dinners will be held on Saturday, July 8th, Saturday August 19th and Thursday, September 7th.
Guests will enjoy passed canapés in the picnic area, transitioning to Nostalgia’s covered pergola area for a seated meal. The mouth-watering, three-course dinner menu will be perfectly paired with Nostalgia’s most loved wines. Each dinner engagement will share a unique menu and wine pairings.
Nostalgia’s ownership, management and winemaking team will be on site to lead guests through the wine pairings and share the story of the winery, established in 2006, while Chef Zachary Chan of Cocktails & Canapes will share the process behind his imaginative and delicious dishes.
“We are also preparing some extra treats during the evening, including a walk to stretch our legs between delicious courses to sample from the barrels with owner/winemaker Gina Fernandes Harfman,” says Nostalgia Wines’ General Manager and Sommelier Sheila Whittaker.
“We hosted a dinner on June 1st, and it was such a magical evening. I can’t wait to share the next experience with the lucky group of guests!” Whittaker says.
Chef Chan and Nostalgia Sommelier Whittaker worked together to create a perfect pairing for each dish, leaving room for alterations. Food allergies and/or restrictive dietary choices can be accommodated, as Chef will prepare an alternative to meet dietary needs.

Gina Fernandes Harfman is the owner and winemaker behind the terroir focused, small lot wines produced on the property.
Harfman ensures the grape quality is high, sourcing most of the grapes from the estate’s Home Vineyard: Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Viognier, Kerner, Merlot, Syrah, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. She also sources from her family’s farm in Osoyoos, and from treasured, long-term grower partners in the South Okanagan. Her attention to detail continues throughout the entire winemaking process.
Visitors to Nostalgia Wines are welcomed with heart, personality, nostalgia, and great wine. Situated right in the heart of South Okanagan wine country, guests take in the views of the rugged desert hills, vineyards, and orchards, while sipping and soaking up the surroundings.
