Church and State Trebella 2020 ($24.25)

Church and State Trebella 2020 ($27.89)

Viognier (34%), Roussanne (33%), Marsanne (33%)

Hand-harvested and directly pressed in whole bunches. Fermentation in barrels for 3 weeks followed by ageing for 8 months in French oak barrels.

Alcohol 12.6% |TA 5.7 gm/L | RS 2.7 gm/L

Plump and lush with aromas of white peach, apricot, vanilla and honey. Rich and appealing with an opulent, weighty and slightly oily mouthfeel. Do not overchill the wine to experience all the nuances! Flavours of tropical fruit, nectarine, almond, honey and Mandarin orange with a complex and lengthy finish. 92 Points

The Rhone Blend was paired perfectly with Dijon mustard and breadcrumb-crusted Salmon.

Church and State Syrah 2019 ($35)

Fermentation and maceration in stainless steel tanks for 20 days. Aged in French oak for 12 months.

Alcohol 14.5% |TA 5.4 gm/L | RS 2.8 gm/L

Dark brooding ruby red colour. Opens with violets and red cherries with floral notes. Flavours of red cherries, raspberry, black olives with notes of cranberries, green peppercorns and red currants. A smooth bold mouthfeel and long finish. An easy drinking red for the Holidays. 92 Points

Church and State Cabernet Franc 2019 ($32.50)

Fermented and maceration in stainless steel tank for 20 days. It was aged in French oak for 12 months.

Alcohol 14.5% | TA 5.5 g/L | RS 2.4 g/L

This is an elegant Cab Franc. Dark ruby red with aromas of red berries, black pepper and spices. Flavours of black cherry with notes of tobacco and mint. Smooth ripe tannins and long finish. Drinkable right now and will improve with age. 91 Points.
