For wine lovers, the colder weather means one thing- Icewine.

West Kelowna, BC, January 20th, 2024. This January, escape to Grizzli Winery and experience our first-of-its-kind luxury tasting! Broaden your palate with our award-winning ice wines that have been beautifully paired with a chef-curated menu.

On January 20th from 2 pm-4 pm, indulge in a 45-minute seated experience in Canada’s largest tasting room and wine lounge. Take in the views of our snow-covered vines while learning about the harvest-to-bottle process of Canadian-made ice wine. We have minimal space, so get our tickets now to secure your spot! After your ice wine and culinary tasting, spend some time fireside in our wine lounge and internationally renowned Grizzli Art Gallery, where you can peruse local works by Okanagan artists while enjoying mulled wine and wine by the glass.

Grizzli has partnered with Private Chef Andrew Toncini for a sensory experience that promises world-class ice wines with four culinary pleasures.

The Tasting Menu includes:

Spicy Meatball & Parmesan Besciamella Cream- Paired with 2014 Sauvignon Blanc

The perfect blend of sweet and spice! Our light & refreshing ice wine featuring dominant tropical fruits and sweetness is balanced with a hint of savoury spices. A luxurious parmesan Besciamella cream softens the palate by counteracting the spice to balance the sweetness.

Sicilian Cannoli – Paired with 2015 Gewürztraminer

This pairing shows that opposites attract! With an exotic blend of rose water, citrus, ginger and tropical fruits, this traditional dessert with a rich ricotta filling and buttery shell offers a balance of complexity and simplicity of a dish.

Panna Cotta Dark Chocolate and Roasted Hazelnut- Paired with 2013 Cabernet Franc

Showcasing notes of caramel toffee, dried fruits, and brown sugar, our Cabernet France is a perfect partner to balance the delicate flavours and silky textures of Panna Cotta. Both have solid profiles and sweet characteristics, with hints of nutty and salty touches.

Cheese Arancini-Paired with 2013 Merlot Icewine

Savoury to Savoury! Our fruit-forward, luxurious, full-flavoured, medium-bodied ice wine perfectly balances this warm, gooey cheddar center with a golden crisp exterior. Both rich and decadent flavours share a similar flavour profile.

“I am a seasoned chef with over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry. Born and raised in the charming town of Staffolo, nestled in the heart of Italy’s Marche region, I grew up surrounded by diverse culinary influences from all across the country.

At 20, I embarked on an international adventure, exploring more than 26 countries. Each destination gave me unique stories and invaluable inspiration, especially when discovering the rich and diverse food cultures worldwide. With my brother, I co-founded “La Cucina Mobile,” a food truck inspired by Italy’s vibrant street food scene. After two successful years, we took the next leap and opened our first fixed-location restaurant, “Toncini Modern Italian,” in Brisbane, Australia. It was a remarkable journey, where we introduced a modern twist to authentic Italian cuisine.

Due to unforeseen circumstances caused by the pandemic, I found myself in Kelowna, British Columbia. Today, I am delighted to share my culinary expertise and passion with the beautiful community of the Okanagan region.
