Township 7 Showcases the Strength of Its Portfolio with Four Outstanding New Releases

Township 7 2025 Rose and Viognier and 2 seven star sparkling wines

After the devastating freeze that reshaped British Columbia’s 2024 vintage, Township 7 Vineyards & Winery is once again celebrating the Okanagan’s abundance. The winery’s latest releases include two still wines from the outstanding 2025 harvest alongside two traditional-method sparkling wines, reflecting both the resilience of its vineyards and the continued evolution of its premium Seven Stars program.

According to winemaker Mary McDermott, the 2025 growing season delivered one of the largest crops in Township 7’s history.

“Everything is coming in early and heavy,” she noted in the harvest report. Larger-than-expected yields, vibrant natural acidity and excellent flavour development made for an exceptional vintage. The biggest challenge wasn’t ripening the fruit; it was finding enough cooperage to accommodate the harvest. Sparkling wine base wines were especially impressive, allowing Township 7 to continue expanding its acclaimed Seven Stars program.

The two 2025 releases showcase that momentum beautifully.

2025 Township 7 Provenance Series Rosé ($28.97)

2025 Township 7 Provenance Series Rosé ($28.97)

Vineyard & Winemaking

The 2025 Provenance Series Rosé blends fruit from several premium Naramata Bench vineyards, led by Syrah (41%) and Rotberger (38%), with Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Meunier adding further complexity. Each variety was gently whole-cluster pressed with minimal skin contact before undergoing a slow, month-long cold fermentation in stainless steel to preserve freshness and delicate aromatics.

Tasting Notes

Bright aromas of freshly picked strawberries and ripe Okanagan stonefruit leap from the glass. The palate is crisp, dry and beautifully balanced, offering vibrant red berry, peach and lime flavours wrapped in refreshing acidity. A subtle creamy texture and silky, fine-grained tannins provide added depth and structure, carrying the wine through a polished, fruit-driven finish. 91 Points

Margherita pizza, ratatouille, grilled salmon or summer charcuterie.

2025 Township 7 Benchmark Series Viognier ($30.97)

2025 Township 7 Provenance Series Rosé ($28.97)

Vineyard & Winemaking

This 100% Viognier combines fruit from the Raju Vineyard in Osoyoos and Fool’s Gold Vineyard in Oliver. Fermented primarily in stainless steel, with 24% aged in neutral French oak, the wine balances vibrant fruit with added texture while preserving the variety’s expressive aromatics.

Tasting Notes

Inviting aromas of vibrant pink grapefruit, zesty key lime, and tropical fruit introduce an expressive palate layered with apricot, guava, passionfruit and bright citrus. Partial oak aging contributes a gentle creaminess without overshadowing the wine’s freshness, while lively acidity keeps everything focused through a long, elegant finish. 92 Points

Food Pairing

Prawn tacos with mango salsa, roasted asparagus and halloumi, or creamy Thai curry.

2023 Township 7 seven stars RIGEL ($34.97)

Vineyard & Winemaking

Crafted entirely from Riesling grown at Fool’s Gold Vineyard near Oliver, Rigel is produced using the traditional-method. Only free-run juice was selected before cool fermentation in stainless steel. After secondary fermentation, the wine matured en tirage for 12 months before disgorgement and dosage.

Technical Data

Alc. 11.5% | pH 2.90 | TA 8.4 g/L | RS 11.7 g/L | Vegan

Tasting Notes

Fresh aromas of lime zest, green apple and lightly toasted brioche lead into an energetic palate where crisp citrus, orchard fruit and delicate sweetness are balanced by vibrant acidity and flinty minerality. A persistent, creamy mousse adds refinement and length to this lively sparkling Riesling. 92 Points

Food Pairing

Fresh oysters, pork schnitzel, raclette or sushi.

2022 Township 7 seven stars AURORA (Wine Club Exclusive)

Vineyard & Winemaking

Aurora is a Blanc de Noir produced entirely from Pinot Noir grown at Stoneridge Vineyard in Okanagan Falls. The fruit was harvested with naturally high acidity before traditional-method production and an extended 30-month en tirage. Following riddling and disgorgement, a proprietary dosage completes the wine.
