Naramata Bench winery showcases its refreshed identity with a trio of approachable, food-friendly wines.

Just a few months after unveiling its refreshed branding and the return of its iconic rooster, Red Rooster Winery is building on that momentum with three new 2025 releases that perfectly capture the winery’s renewed personality. The trio (Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and the unique Pinot3 blend) combines approachable styling with thoughtful winemaking and reinforces Red Rooster’s philosophy that while winemaking is serious, enjoying wine should always be fun. The refreshed labels, featuring the bold return of the rooster, now appear across all 2025 vintage releases, symbolizing a confident new chapter for one of the Naramata Bench’s best-known wineries.

For more than 25 years, Red Rooster has crafted wines that reflect the vineyards of the South Okanagan while earning a loyal following for its welcoming personality and relaxed approach to wine. These latest releases celebrate what the winery calls the “Return of the Rooster,” bringing together three expressions of Pinot perfectly suited to summer entertaining, whether on the patio, around the dinner table or overlooking the vineyards of the Naramata Bench.

2025 Growing Season

After the challenges of recent vintages, the 2025 growing season delivered excellent fruit from vineyards across the Okanagan Valley and Similkameen. The winemaking team focused on preserving freshness, varietal character and balance, producing a trio of wines that showcase the versatility of Pinot. Stainless steel fermentation maintains bright fruit expression throughout the range, while thoughtful use of techniques such as skin contact, French oak and bâtonnage add complexity and texture where appropriate.

Fruit was sourced from vineyards in both the North and South Okanagan, along with the Similkameen Valley. A portion of the juice spent additional time on the skins to enhance character, while the balance was cool-fermented and aged in stainless steel to preserve freshness and varietal purity. The result is a vibrant expression of BC Pinot Gris.

Vineyard & Winemaking

Fruit was sourced from select vineyards in the South Okanagan and East Kelowna. The grapes were hand-picked and gently pressed before fermentation in stainless steel with co-inoculated malolactic fermentation. Daily pump-overs enhanced colour and flavour extraction, while each vineyard lot was aged separately prior to blending. A portion of the wine matured in French oak alongside stainless steel for five months, adding subtle complexity and refinement.

Red Rooster’s signature Pinot blend combines Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Fruit from select South Okanagan vineyards was cool-fermented in stainless steel, with the Pinot Noir handled in a white wine style to preserve freshness and aromatics.
