🍷💜 @vasantiwines 2022 Syrah 💜🍷 A bold and beautifu 🍷💜 @vasantiwines 2022 Syrah 💜🍷
A bold and beautifully styled Syrah sourced from the East Bench Vineyard and aged 24 months in 100% new American oak.
The aromatics rise from the glass with violets, exotic spice, black cherry, and ripe plum. Rich and fruit-forward on the palate, layers of blackberry, black plum, caramel, licorice, and cracked pepper unfold over silky tannins and a long savoury finish.
Powerful yet polished, this is a cellar-worthy BC Syrah built to evolve beautifully over time.

🍷☀️ SOUTH OKANAGAN WHITES ARE SHINING ☀️🍷 The new 🍷☀️ SOUTH OKANAGAN WHITES ARE SHINING ☀️🍷

The new 2025 releases from @hestercreekwinery are some of the strongest value BC whites I’ve tasted this year — a lineup that captures the warmth, precision, and freshness of a near-ideal South Okanagan vintage.

Standouts include:

🍐 Old Vine Trebbiano 2025 — textured, vibrant, and quietly one of the most compelling white wines in BC right now. Grapefruit, white peach, lemon cream, and honeysuckle with beautiful balance and lift.
⭐ 92 Points

🍏 Pinot Gris 2025 — fresh and expressive with melon, green apple, apricot, and citrus lift.
⭐ 91 Points

🍋 Old Vine Pinot Blanc 2025 — mineral-driven with baked apple, lemon zest, and a honeyed texture.
⭐ 91 Points

🍊 Pinot Gris Viognier 2025 — aromatic and crowd-pleasing with nectarine, apricot, lime zest, and a polished off-dry finish.
⭐ 91 Points

🌿 Sauvignon Blanc 2025 — crisp, herbaceous, and zesty with gooseberry, pear, and citrus rind.
⭐ 90 Points

🌸 Character White 2025 — aromatic and easy-drinking with rose petal, peach, quince, and lychee.
⭐ 90 Points

The consistency across this lineup is what impressed me most. These wines deliver freshness, texture, and strong varietal character while still remaining very approachable on price.

The 2025 vintage is shaping up to be a standout year for BC whites. 🇨🇦🍇

🍔🍷 Burger night, but make it BC wine country with 🍔🍷 Burger night, but make it BC wine country with @bottegawinestudio

The K-Little Vintners Cabernet Franc 2022 brings serious character to the table — dark cherry, cassis, savoury herbs, and just enough spice to elevate a juicy homemade burger.

This is the kind of Cabernet Franc that reminds you why the varietal shines in BC: vibrant fruit, fresh acidity, and enough structure to stand up to grilled beef without overpowering the food.

The smoky char from the burger, tangy pickles, and ripe tomato work beautifully with the wine’s earthy undertones and polished tannins. Casual pairing… premium result. 🔥🍔

🇨🇦 BC Cabernet Franc continues to quietly overdeliver.

🌸🍊 Paella night just found its perfect BC wine pai 🌸🍊 Paella night just found its perfect BC wine pairing.

The return of Viognier at @bottegawinestudio was worth the wait. After an eight-year absence, the 2025 Bottega Viognier arrives with remarkable texture, floral lift, and a polished old-world feel that shines alongside saffron-rich seafood and chicken paella. 🥘✨

Crafted from low-yielding vineyards in both the Similkameen and Okanagan Valleys, this small-production Viognier was hand-picked, whole bunch pressed, and aged on lees with monthly bâtonnage to build depth and complexity. Only 780 bottles produced.

🍑 Tasting Notes
Lifted aromatics of tangerine blossom, honeysuckle, ripe peach, and exotic fruit lead into a beautifully textured palate layered with apricot, mandarin orange, kiwi, and tropical fruit. A subtle hazelnut note and creamy lees texture give the wine an almost Chardonnay-like richness, while Similkameen minerality and fresh acidity keep everything vibrant and food-friendly.

Elegant, expressive, and dangerously easy to pour another glass.

93 Points 🍊🍑

A Provence-inspired Rosé with serious Similkameen A Provence-inspired Rosé with serious Similkameen soul. 🌸🍊🍓

The 2025 Seven Directions Pinot Noir Rosé from @bottegawinestudio is one of the most elegant BC Rosés I’ve tasted this spring.

Crafted from Pinot Noir sourced across the rugged Similkameen Valley and Bottega’s own 3.5-acre Solum Rosa Estate Vineyard, this small-lot Rosé was given just two hours of skin contact before partial French oak fermentation and extended lees aging.

The result? A beautifully textural Rosé bursting with orange blossom, rose petals, jasmine, wild strawberry, pink grapefruit, and fresh orange zest. Creamy, polished, and incredibly persistent on the finish.

Delicate pale salmon in colour and dangerously easy to drink — this is the kind of bottle that disappears before sunset. 🌅
