🥇 Solvero Pinot Gris 2025 — 93 Points This is Pin 🥇 Solvero Pinot Gris 2025 — 93 Points

This is Pinot Gris with a little extra personality.

Fresh and silky, with inviting aromas of ripe pear, crisp apple and a touch of honey. The palate is dry and lively, with juicy pear and apple layered with subtle citrus and honeyed notes.

What really sets it apart is a distinctive thread of ginger and white pepper, adding a spicy lift through the fresh, energetic finish.

Beautifully balanced and expressive. 93 Points

@solverowines — Resilience in Garnet Valley A fa @solverowines — Resilience in Garnet Valley

A fascinating and sobering visit to Solvero Wines in Summerland’s Garnet Valley. The photos show damage from the Bald Range wildfire, which burned through the surrounding forest and came remarkably close to the winery and vineyards.

While the winery was spared, I was told that smoke and ash exposure means Solvero will not produce a 2026 vintage because of the risk of smoke taint. A heartbreaking setback for this young winery.

Fortunately, there are some excellent current releases to enjoy:

🥂 2023 Blanc de Noir — $40
Traditional Method 100% Pinot Noir, aged 20 months en tirage and finished zero dosage. Lemon, green apple and pear with brioche, toasted almond and chalky minerality.

🌸 2024 Rosé — $25
Pinot Noir sourced from Oregon after the 2024 winter freeze. Cranberry, peach and rose petal with refreshing acidity, berry fruit and a touch of white pepper.

🥂 2024 Chardonnay — $35
Chehalem Mountains Chardonnay, barrel fermented and aged 11 months in mostly neutral oak. Pear, apricot and peach with hazelnut, minerality and subtle brioche.

🍷 2023 Pinot Noir — $35
Five clones from Garnet Valley and Kozuki Family vineyards, aged 15 months in French oak. Dark cherry, blackberry and raspberry with silky tannins, savoury herbs and a long mineral finish.

🍐 2025 Pinot Gris — $25
Whole-cluster pressed and fermented in equal parts neutral French oak and stainless steel. Fresh, concentrated and textured — a 2026 WineAlign Gold Medal winner.

🍋 2025 Riesling — $26
Solvero's first Riesling, from Happy Valley Vineyard on the Summerland Bench. Cool fermented for two months, delivering bright aromatics, concentration and vibrant natural acidity.

Despite what nature has thrown at them, Solvero continues to make some of Summerland's most exciting cool-climate wines.

🌹 Seven Directions Pinot Noir Rosé 2025 — 93 Point 🌹 Seven Directions Pinot Noir Rosé 2025 — 93 Points 🍷

A seriously impressive 100% Pinot Noir Rosé from the Similkameen Valley.

Inspired by Provence, this beautifully crafted Rosé opens with delicate orange blossom, rose petals and jasmine, followed by vibrant wild strawberry, pink grapefruit and fresh orange zest.

Just 2 hours of skin contact gives it that gorgeous pale salmon colour, while 30% French oak fermentation and lees aging add a lovely creamy texture and structure.

Fresh, elegant and remarkably persistent.

And perhaps the best tasting note of all…

Dangerously easy to drink — the kind of Rosé that turns one glass into an empty bottle before sunset. ☀️🥂

🍋 @township7 Sauvignon Blanc 2025 | 91 Points Bri 🍋 @township7 Sauvignon Blanc 2025 | 91 Points

Bright, crisp and beautifully refreshing.

Sourced from Township 7’s Blue Terrace Estate Vineyard in north Oliver, this Sauvignon Blanc combines stainless-steel fermentation with a small barrel-fermented component, adding just enough texture and roundness while keeping the fruit wonderfully fresh.

🥭 Passion fruit • Tropical fruit • Lime zest • Citrus

The palate is lively and polished, with bright acidity carrying through to a clean, crisp finish. A modern Okanagan Sauvignon Blanc that delivers plenty of freshness and lift.

Alc. 13.9% | pH 3.41 | TA 6.3 g/L | RS 2.7 g/L | Vegan

🍷 @morainewinery Pinot Noir with Cedar-Plank Wild 🍷 @morainewinery Pinot Noir with Cedar-Plank Wild Sockeye Salmon

A terrific Okanagan pairing. The richness and gentle smokiness of cedar-plank salmon work beautifully with the earthy character and silky texture of this Naramata Bench Pinot Noir.

The Moraine Estate Pinot Noir 2022 is made from 100% estate-grown Clone 777 Pinot Noir from the Sophia Vineyard. Hand-picked and spontaneously fermented in small one-ton vats.

The nose opens with red cherry, wild raspberry and a hint of violets. Dense flavours of black cherry, cassis, leather, tobacco and earthy notes follow. Elegant structure, silky-smooth tannins and a lengthy finish.

🍷 @drinkriverstone Small Lot Merlot 2022 — 93 Poin 🍷 @drinkriverstone Small Lot Merlot 2022 — 93 Points

A small-lot experiment that delivers big results.

From River Stone Estate Winery, this beautifully crafted Merlot delivers ripe dark fruit, richness and impressive depth, wrapped in a smooth, polished structure.

And with rack of lamb and crusty baked potatoes? Absolutely superb. The lamb's richness is a natural match for this concentrated Okanagan Merlot.

⚠️ Soon to be sold out

If you’re a Merlot lover, this is one I wouldn’t wait too long to track down.
